OBITUARY.
THE EEV". J. LAW. The death is announced of the Rev. J. Law, who passed a-way at his residence, Mt. Albert, on Saturday evening. The deceased gentleman came to New Zealand in 1868, after receiving his education for the Itcthodist ministry at Richmond College, England. For many years he was closely identified with outpost pioneer church work, and, indeed, laid the foundations of several strong circuits. His first work, however, was in connection with Pitt-street Church, amd for the last 12 years ie was attached to the supernumerary list of members, and did active work up till the time of his last illness. A memorial service was conducted last night at the Mt. Albert Methodist Church by the Rev. W. C. Oliver. Reference to the good qualities and tho work of the deceased was also made by the Rev. J. A. Luxford and the ministers of other cfty churches. The Rev. Law, who is survived by his widow and four sons, was buried this aftewieon.
