The No 3 Co. Garrlsou Artillery Volunteers visited Penrose on Saturday for the purpose : : of carrying out their class-tiring and compet-' ing for the Burns' and Best Cups. It was j; decided to divide the company Into A and.B-g grades, instead of handicapping. The Burns :, Cup was awarded to the highest scorer in the A grade, and the Best Cup to the torn-'-v. piler of the highest total in the B grade. ' Following were the principal scores:— A Grade: Corporal Blackett (winner), 59}g Gunner Waters, 54; Wilson, 54; SergeantMajor Bickerton, 52; Corporal Little, 42;.:. and Gunner Nelson, 42. This is the second time in succession In - which Corporal Blackett has won the Burns M Cup. and It now become his own property. B Grade: Sergeant Bickerton (winner),..;: 45; Gunner A. Muller, 43; Sergeant Grac* 41; Gunner Hood, SO; and Corporal ReMivj Next Saturday the company will compete for the Liudsay Cup, and as this is the ■ championship trophy, both the A and B. grades will be allowed to compete.
