Murdo Mathieson Munro, a telegraph operator, residing at Emma-street, on" Dominion-road, died suddenly about 10 o'clock this morning from heart disease. Deceased had been absent from duty during the past three months on account, of ill-health, and was working about the yard at the rear of his house after breakfast this morning when the fatal seizure occurred. His mother had occasion to go outside, and found him lying dead in the yard. Dr Percy Moir, who had been attending him, gave the necessary certificate as to the cause of death. The late Mr Munro was a single man, 33 years of age. Last evening Mr. Fee, the no-license advocate, gave an address in St. David's Hall, Khyber Pass-road. Mr. J. McGregor occupied the chair. To-night Mr. Fee concludes his addresses in the City, at a meeting to be .held in the Ponsonby Hall, when he wil reply to some recent criticisms. The Rev. G. Bond will' preside.
The poTVpe m Whangarei were informed by telegram late on 'Wednesday night that a native woman, whose-name was not known, was missing 'from Parakao. Constable Douglas, of Hikurangi, left for Parakao yesterday, to make inquiries.
