The s.s. Haupiri, which arrived borne from Auckland yesterday afternoon, was a week on the coast, and I even then could not work all the ports, being hampered by heavy weather. Only half her cargo was landed, and instead of taking 600 bales of wool for transhipment into the Marere at Napier, only 60 could be placed on board. The aux. schooner Kereru has been over a fortnight working her way down the coast to Gisborne. The ceremony of installing the master and officers of Lodge Manukau, N.Z.C., takes place to-morrow evening at the Masonic Hall, Onehunga, when a large gathering of the brethren of the craft is expected, including Bro. O. Nicholson and officers of the Grand Lodge. For some time past the hall has been in a somewhat neglected condition, and in consequence the brethren decided to thoroughly renovate the building. This work has been accomplished at a cost of about £400, under the supervision of Mr. J. Park, the contractor being Mr. R. M. Barr. The result of this expenditure is that the hall now presents a fine appearance, a handsome Wunderlich ceiling having been put up and a new reredos executed in gold and white. All the decorations are in excellent taste, reflecting credit on the designer, and also those by whom the work was carried out. io cure any kind o'/ headache in twenty minutes take Steams' Headache Cure.
