A Press Association message states that the secretary of the Wellington Chamber of Commerce has written to the Auckland Chamber, suggesting that the various chambers of commerce should take combined action with a view to retaining, and if possible Increasing, the representation of chambers of commerce on Harbour Boards. Mr. E. G. Allsworth, president of the Onehunga branch of the Liberal and Labour Federation, received a wire from Sir Joseph Ward this afternoon, stating that he would deliver a political address at Onehunga on Wednesday evening next. Lillywhite, alias Captain Nella, was sentenced by the Waihi court this morning to one month's imprisonment for false pretences. Down Quilts just opened, beautiful colouring. Inspection invited.
