STRANGE BUSH FATALITY. PENSIONER'S SAD DEATH. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) DUNEDIN, Sunday. The body of William Jones, an old age pensioner, aged nearly 80 years, was found in the bush at Leith Valley. Jones, who was a bachelor, living by himself, had worked in the bush far nearly 40 years. It is surmised that he slipped on some greasy logs and fell on his axe, which gashed his cheek so badly that he bled to death. Deceased was a native of Wales. RAILWAY EMPLOYEES' SUPERANNUATION. WELLINGTON, this day. The Manawatu Railway Company are to be admitted to the superannuation fund on the conditions laid down in the Act. The Company has agreed to contribute the sum which was necessary to compound for back contributions to the fund. PRICE OP BREAD. DUNEDIN, this day. Master bakers decided on Saturday night that with flour selling at £11 5/per ton, it was impossißle to reduce the price of the 41b loaf below 7d, i f bakers were to pay their way and also the union rates of wages.
