FIJI PLANTER MURDERED.
The second officer of the s.s. Den of uthven, which arrived from Fiji toay, states that when the vessel was on ie point of leaving Suva the local agent i >r the Alley Line, came on board, and! sported that a sugar planter had been lurdered. The name of the planter was stated, I ut none of the officers of the Den of i uthven appear to remember it, al-! lough they are inclined to the opinion iat it was Rowley, or some similar azne. The particulars were meagre, but it as stated that a coolee attacked the nfortunate man with a knife and stab;d him to death. *~
