Caughey, has presented " a cup-for annual competition by member* of the V.M.C.A., and the Hon. Geo. Fowlds has also given a cup for aunual competition liy the colleges of Auckland. The 13th annual picnic of the North Shore Yacht Club took place at Kohimarama on Saturday afternoon last, and was largely attended. Owing to the unexpectedly largenumber of competitors additional competitions had to be placed on the programme. The commodore. Mr. W. A. Wilkinson, acted as starter and handioappe-r, and the vice-commodore, Mr. Swinnerton. fulfilled the duties of judge. The marshals for tha dingey races were Messrs. H. Couch, Hill, W. T. Shaw, and- H.
