Lato to-night a man named Stewart who has just served a term of imprison j ment for false pretences, walked int< ; Detec:ive Rodham's office at the polici ! station, and, practically without warning j threatened to knife him. The detective after a hard struggle, succeeded in hand cuffing Stewart. There was nobody abou at the time to assist. Stewart has ai imaginary grievance against the police.
