MR. KIDSTON'S COALITION SCHEME.

BRISBANE, November 8.

The official organ of the Labour party, in discussing Mr Kidston's letter to the Labour representatives in Parliament, says that the Labour party cannot violate the decisions of the convention or grant Kidstonian candidates immunity from opposition at the elections in order to fulfil the Premier's scheme for combined action against the Upper House. Mr Kidston had inflicted a lot of harm on the Labour party, but his power was now at an end, and there was no longer any danger-of the party divesting themselves of freedom and accepting the programme of the Government, whose ideal was expediencj'.
