RELIEF FOR SUFFERERS. LARGE GIFT FROM KING VICTOR. (By Cable.—Press Association.—Copyright.) ROME, October 26. King Victor Emmanuel has given the sum of £4000 and tbe Pope has given £2000 to assist the sufferers by the Calabria earthquake Food has been sent to the stricken districts, and shelters are being erected. Military engineers are demolishing the unsafe dwellings at Ferruzzano, where disaster was chiefly due to an enormous landslip following the earthquake.
