ATHLETIC SPORTS.
LABOUR DAY SPORTS.
The Labour Day Committee decided-this year to abandon' the usual procession and sports on the Domain, in favour of a water picnic and sports at Orakei. A procession of the unions, with their banners, will take place from the Ponsonby Reservoir to the wharf, through Karangahape-road, Pittstreet, Wellesley-street, and Queen-street A shield has been presented by Dr. Stopford to be allotted to the union having the Dest attendance, on a percentage basis The nominations for the sports are as follows:- j Open Swimming -Handicap, 100yds.—F.
