At the Police Court, Thomson, Jacobson and C-allaghan, three firemen on the Itippingham Grange, were committed for trial on a charge of broaching cargo from the hold while the vessel was lying at Victoria Wharf. Mary Gibson, who failed to appear to answer a charge of having on February 3, at Christchurch, made a false declaration regarding the birth of her child the case was remanded till to-mor-row, the inspector saying a warrant would be issued for the arrest of accused, who was now in InvercargilL Dawson and McKechnie's big sawmill at Ratanui was destroyed by fire this morning. No particulars yet available.
