At the Police Court, Thomson, Jacobson and C-allaghan, three firemen on the Itippingham Grange, were committed for trial on a charge of broaching cargo from the hold while the vessel was lying at Victoria Wharf. Mary Gibson, who failed to appear to answer a charge of having on February 3, at Christchurch, made a false declaration regarding the birth of her child the case was remanded till to-mor-row, the inspector saying a warrant would be issued for the arrest of accused, who was now in InvercargilL Dawson and McKechnie's big sawmill at Ratanui was destroyed by fire this morning.
