The annual meeting of St. Peter's Presbyterian Church, Great North-road took place last evening. There was a "ood attendance, the Rev. R. EL Catherw'ood occupying the chair. The report submitted indxeated that good progress had been made in each department. The receipts from all sources amounted to £556 5/7 and the expenditure £561 4/2. An ex cellent programme was rendered under the management of Mr D. Sonnnerville organist of the church. Revs. Murray and Wilson gave earnest and inspiriting addresses and congratulated the minister and congregation on the success achieved R X NesS ' AfcK - SmiTh and Munro were elected new mana°ers. During an interval the ladies' guild provided an excellent supper, to which ample justice was done. A very enjdyable meeting was brought to a close by the singing of the Boxology. ° b
At nine o clock this morning a house at Batumanga, owned by George Paki was totaUy destroyed by fire during the temporary absence oi, Mrs. Paki. The contents mclnded fifteen pound notes, fco&mg miajd,, /There was no leenrange, go ■&$ image.
