MINE MANAGERS' REPORTS.
Minerals, Limited.—The mine manager reports that he has had a wash-up amounting to sozs, out of 79 loads, sold for £23 S/10.
Taihoa.—The rise from the battery level to connect with- the winze below No. 2 level Iβ now up 100 feet, and the good class of country still continues. Temple Bar.—bnring the week we have been fixing up camp, tracks, etc, and nave also cut chamber preparatory to sinking winze. Sinking will be started on Monday, Bth, with one shift, and as the flow of -water has eased sufficiently, I will put the other shift to drive on ttie reef in the low level.
Scandinavian. —We have driven through the hard bar referred to In last report, the country now being a kindly sandstone, interlaced with nice mineral seams. According to the country we should soon cut quartz. The level has been extended 10ft for the week.
Halcyon.—The reef east ans T>een broken down. It is loft thick, and carries good Indications. Colours of gold were seen when breaking down.
Bonanza.—The main drive is in 361 ft. The country is the same ac last reported, The western drive has been extended 7ft. The formation is about 2ft. Operations here will be suspended for the present, and a start made to open on tie west side and drive seaward on the reef.
Watchman.—During the week the crosscot towards the Windfall reef has been advanced 17ft The white block sandstone country referred to in last week's report as coming m from the right hand side, is now showing for full width of drive. A further distance of 15ft should see the reef in, provided it maintains the same dip downward as where the underlie was taken by the surveyor at the surface.
Waihi Extended.—Tne No. 4 level has been advanced a further 26ft on the lode. The drive is now under No. 1 winze. For the last few days the footwall has been exposed, but no hangingwall, there apparently being a strong body of r.re on the hangingwall side of the drive. During next week, rising will be pnt in hand to connect with Nn. 1 winze-
New Waitekanri.—No. 1 rise (Horn level) is now stripped within a few feet of what is required for opening out for driving, but still needs timbering, which will be completed ataoct the nriddte of the week. Ona u Sfe» has. beea arfxbg pa Statette* fed* 1

Two men nave been laying tram rails daring the week, and, weather permitting, this portion of the line will probably be finished in aboat a fortnigEt. J&r Brown, the contractor is making very goooXheadway with the bridges, the last being now under construction. This one win be very lar-e the trestles being 40ft in height
