BIRKENHEAD QUOIT CLUB,

A meeting of the Birkenhead Quoit Club was held on Saturday afternoon in thu club"s new pavilion at Chelsea. There was a large attendance, Mr J. C. V. Henuie occupied the chair. The question of reorganising tiie club was gone into, and itwas agreed to start under the following management:—President, Jlr J. C. F. lteauie; captain, Mr A. J. McLean; vice-captain, Mr J. Ji. AlcPhail; secretary and treasurer, Mr W. B. Woolley; committee, Messrs C. Mawkes, W. Ferguson, V. Lunny, L. Vincent, and V. Llewellyn. The formulating of new rules was left to the committee to set up for nest meeting. Mr Kennie announced that he had collected over live guineas towards a silver cup, and was arranging for a second trophy. A game of quoits .was then played for a sllver-inountod pipe, presented by Mr Ecnale, and resulted In Mr F, Goldsmith carrying off the prize, with Messrs W. Ferguson and W. McJ.eau tying for second and third places respectively.
