The following are tire winners of the iirst round, of the championships: — Ladies' Championship.—Aieedaniee aioore, Knrupo Tareha, Misees Scott, Ueatson, McLjean, Todd, Jardine, and Bennett. Men's Championship.—V. K. Harman, iiurupo Tareha H. J. Smith, D. W. Strang, E. S. Pearce, G. Thorborn, V. Lv» Gordon, J. Harold. The ladies' driving and approaching competition was won by Miss Bennett (Napier). No. 1 team won the Williams Cup, and C. l>. .and A. A. Kennedy tied for the meu'e stroke game. Xhj-ee pairs tied in tn.e ladles' four-ball bogey match and will play off. J. L. B. Richardson won the Cambridge golf championship with a score of 203 for i'Aj holes. N. K. Farnall won the tyros' match with 6T for nine holes.
