(Br Telegraph.—Own Correspondent) Wi___lNG_'ON. this day. The Auckland Agricultural Associa- ! tion some time e.g.. wrote to Mr B C Aston. chief chemist to the Agricultural" Department. W__i_gt*tm, stating that attempts were being made to induce various societies in this province to t__e steps to ascertain whether there were deposits of mineral pbosohate-* in the Auckland district. The Government Geologist, Dr. Bell, was also written to upon the same subject with the idea oi obtaining i__o-___tion ca.le__.ted to be of service in the search for such deposits. .It having since been resorted that extensive deposits have been discovered at Hukerenui. and that tbe analysis gives good indication that tha phosphate will be up to the standard required by the Government. __r___to_ states be has received no details regarding such discovery, and that the analysis referred to must have-been mane elsewhere,
