(By Telegraph.—Press Aaioci«tlo«4 ' CHRISTCHTJRCH, Wednesday. The Canterbury Boxing Association's championship meeting "was concluded last nizht. The followinz are the results:— Sllddle-weiglit.— Semi-final: J. A. Cox (America) beat P . W. Olliver (Chrietchureh). Final: Cox beat Nash (Oamaru). Light-weights. — Semi-final: Colquhoun.' (Christchurch) beat Thomas (Palmerston North). The latter had to retire at the end of the first round, owinjr to an injured knee. Final: R. Mazey (Chiistcliarca) beat Colquhoun. Featherweights.—Final: Tresize (Ashburton) beat Goiild (Tlmaru). Bantam-weights.—Final: Walker (Christchnrch) beat L. Watson (Christchureh). He&vy-weiglttE.—Mahoney (Caxfistelrurcfc) beat Cox (America). At a meeting of the Canterbury Boxing Association held this morning, the committee decided that the bout in the final fttr the heavy-weijrht championship,." between. Hahoney and Cox, be declared ho contest, the committee being dissatisfied with the manner In which It was fought. Both men. were disqualified. It was further decided that the disqualification of Cox should extend to the middle-weight class, and that the whole case should be reported to the Canterbury centre committee. It was decided that W. Bouden .receive the medal for the heavy-weight class, and that, A. Jα. NmaU and P. N. Olliver be asked to box" in the final for the mlddle-weisht championship on -a date to be. fixed.
