Rising Sun.—The drive on the hangingwall reef Is being pushed on. The country encasing the reef is a firm sandstone, light in colour. Where brokeu down, the reef is loin wide, and has a promising appearance. A few colours of gold are got by mortar and dish tests. Another drive is Deiug pushed on at the south end which is also, penetrating an excellent channel of country for S old, though a little harder for progress. The reef is 20 inches wide, looks well, and a fair prospect of gold Is obtained by pounding.
