Calder, as president of the Anck- ] land Sunday-echool Union, will attend ,on behalf of the parent Union in Eng- | iand, to present certificates to no less J than five teachers in the Newton Sfchool I who have done more than 25 years' j service. The recipient;? are Mr John j Ellyett. who for 40 years has been coni iinuously a teacher in the school; Mr j Frank Rowe. r ho has been an officebearer and teacher for 2S years, and connected with the school for 3o years; Mr H. Seabrook, with 50 years' service as teacher in England and the colonies; Mr Price, and Mr J. Crook. The only other certificate presented in Auckland hitherto was to Mr William Eady, at Beresford-sfcreet Church.
