GREAT DESTRUCTION OF OUTLYING TOWNS
OWE THOUSAND DEAD AT SANTA ROSA. (Received 9 a-m.) NEW YORK, April 20. The towns of Santa. Rosa, Healdsburg (population 1869), Geyserville, Cloverdale (population 750), Hopland, and Ukia (1850) have been totally deetroyed. Large numbers have been killed. There axe one thousand dead at Santa Rosa. KEW YORK, April 20. The Government lost stores in San Francisco to the value.of three millions seven hundred thousand, not three hundred and seventy thousand, as previously reported.
