TERRIBLE MORTALITY IN BURNED HOSPITALS.
FEARED LOSS OF 100 MIIXIO NS OF SECUBXXXES. (Received 7.43 ajn.) LOSTDON, April 20. The Mechanics' Pavilion, beyond the City Hall, is being temporarily converted into a morgue. In the iiospiT.ais which were burnt only ten out of a hundred injured were saved, owing to the swift advance of the fire. Guncotton and naval shells are being need to blow up the buildings infitead of dynamite, the supply of which is now exhausted. It is seated that securities amounting in value to one nundred million dollars, and stored on deposit in the vaults, were in the banking quarter of San Francisco which has been completely burned out, and it is unknown, whether they are safe:
