The concluding day's racing in connec--tlon with the Avondale Jockey- Club's Autumn Meeting will 'be held to-morrow' (Wednesday). In consequence of the races at Avondale to-morrow, the work on the tracks this | morning was not very interesting, most of the horses being confined to sprinting exercise. All the fast work was done on the grass. Lady Nannie, alone, spurted four furlongs, the last three in 40s. Cuiragno and King Paul ran a round in 1.59, the latter finishing in front. Waitati, alone, got end of six furlongs in 1.18 4-5. Sonoma and Sir Hector were together at the finish of a four furlong, spurt in.s2_s. Noteorini galloped five furlongs .in 1.5 3-5. Leonator easily defeated Landlock over six furlongs in I:l7.,"Jewellery, alone, taking a t second longer to cover a similar journey. Avalanche ran five furlongs, the last four, in 555. Cyrano was going easier 'than Bonomiana at the end of six furlongs in 1.20. Misere and Bengola sprinted three furlongs in 38s. Gladstone, Hohoro, and Conductor finished In thait order at.the end of six furlongs, in 1.19 2-5. Takaro was not fully extended over four furlongs, run In 52Js. Uenuku showed to better advantage than Strathavon OTer a similar journey in the same time. After breakfast Discoverer finished in front of Kruger and Ben over four furlongs in 50s; Lady Farrington and Lady Helen doing a similar task in a second longer. Nervine and Hopscotch were together at the end of five furlongs, run in 1.5. A number of others were also out, and did useful work. Gladsome Is quoted at 100 to 7, and Maniapoto at 100 to 6. For the Doncaster Handicap Maniapoto Is favourite at 4 to, 1. The two Maniapotos have been backed by the owner to win £5000 at 1000 to 10. V.R.C. DERBY AND CUP. MELBOURNE, April 2. The added money to the V.R.C. Derby has been increased to £1500, and that for the Melbourne Cud to £5000.
