The total quantity of butter and cheese shipped from this port for two weeks ending March 24, is as follows: — Ti Great Britain, 3720 boxes of butter fqual to lS64*cwt; to bouth Africa, 300 i>oxes of butter equal to loOc-wt; South Sea Islands, 116 boxes of butter and 40 cases, equal Saewt. Cheese: 168 cases shipped to rGeat Britain, equal to 243} cwt; to South Sea Islands, 9 eases, equal to 6ewt. Last year at this time there ;was shipped to Great Britain 1379 boxes iof butter, showing an increase this year of 2350 boxes. The total amount of butter in store at the Auckland and farmers" Freezing Works to date is 6237 boxes.
A large meeting of the committee who aided in making such a great success of the Irish celebrations of St. Patrick's Day this year was held last night in St. Benedict's Schoolroom, the ffery Rev. Father Gillan in the chair.
