AMUSEMENTS.
- i a KNIGHT-JEFFRIES COMPANY. There was a crowded audience at His Majesty's Theatre last night, when "A Royal Divorce"' was produced for the third time, having proved quite as strong an attraction as on the occasion of its previous production some years ago. "A Royal Divorce" will be repeated to-night, after which there will be another change of programme. On Monday and Tuesday a double bill will be presented, including W. Musker's version of "David Garrick," and W. S. Gilbert's one-act play, "'Comedy and Tragedy." Mr Julius Knight will play Garrick in the former piece, and Miss Jeffries will pourtray Clarice in the comedy. "YE OLDE ENGLISHE FAYRE." The attendances at the fair at tbe Kiugsland Cricket Ground were considerably interfered with yesterday on account of the rainy weather. Still, the stalls and side-shows reported very good business, and the various amusements provided were, fully appreciated. The. fair was open again this afternoon, and will be concluded to-night. The festival concludes with a moonlight excursion in the harbour on Wednesday night next. OPERA HOUSE. Mr Charles Holloway and his company are due to arrive from Sydney to-morrow, with Mr A. Cowan as manager for Mr Edwin Geach, under whose direction the. New Zealand tour has been arranged. "Two Little Vagabonds" will initiate the season in AuckI lnnd next Tuesday night at the Opera | House, with Miss Beatrice Holloway as "Dick." • J A change, of programme is announced in the British Biograph entertainment to Le given in the Ponsonby Hall on Monday evening.
