(By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.)
WHANGAiIOMONA, this day
At a general meeting of settlers lield at the Whanganiomona Town Hall, and presided over by Mr Joseph McCluggage, last evening, representing all shades of political opiniou, the following resolution was unanimously carried: "That this meeting views with disgust the mc hods employed by Messrs. Taylor, Fisher and party in their recent attack on the Premier. Differences of opinion can always be met by means that are constitutional, British, and fair, and their present attack on Mr Seddon and his family is, in the opinion of ihis meeting, '-conducted more out of personal spite than for the good vi the community, and this meeting further expresses sympathy with and regret that the Premier should be exposed to such groundless calumny.?'
