THE KAUKI-BLEEDIJVG CASE
The Court continued yesterday alternoon the trial oi i-rank iiuyd anu Jo s>eph Barlow on charges of mischievous iy bleeding kauri trees.
A storekeeper of Kaihu named John Lineliam gave evidence that both of the accused offered him some bled gum for sale, but, he had purchased gum oi a similar quality from other people.
Constable Thompson said he charged the accused with the offences, which they denied.
For the defence, Barlow denied that he had ever cut trees in the buth, but said lie had seen the witness Stewart climbing trees for jrum.
