CLASSES AT ONEHUNGA. In order to afford those engaged during the day an opportunity ior obtaining tuition in subjects bearing upon commercial and other pursuit*, the Oneauaga School Committee propose tc make arrangements with a number of competent instructors to conduct evening classes in dressmaking, book-keeping, commercial correspondence, and English literature, commercial arithmetic-, mensuration. freehand, model, and gsomeirical drawing, and other subjects to be arranged. Should a sufficient number of students apply not later than the 21et instant, so as to -"-arrant the initiating of the movement the first w*?efc m Jury, students who have obtained a sixth standard certificate of proficiency in the public- school, or who have qualified for a free place in the examination for Junior National Scholarships, will be admitted free, provided that they attend the classes in commercial arithmetic, commercial correspondence, and English literature, in addition to at least <mc other technical class. The Director of Technical Education will, at st_ted periods, conduct examinations simultaneously with those at the Auckland Technical School, and award certificates of proSeiency to successful candidates.
