Mr. Weir, of the Clyde Sailing Ship, owners' Association, at the annual meeting of the association, stated that Aug. tralian legislation was affecting shipping, and had hampered and crippled oversea trade. The directors were trying to impress upon the King the great hardship which the Sea Carriage of Goods Bill had inflicted upon shipping Interests, particularly interfering with the liberty of ' the British subject.
