ONEHUNGA SCHOOL. COMMITTEE. Mr G. 11. Jones presided over last night's meeting- of the Onehungu School Committee, those also present being Messrs J. Kowe, J. Russell, J. 11. Blackwood. J. Robins, S. Barr, W. It. Tole, S. Skinner, and S. J. Brookfield." The secretary airne-tmeed that the present credit balance was £40 15/, £30 13/9 quarterly allowance having been received from the Board of Education. In his report on the High School the headmaster stated that the roll number is 690, with an average attendance of 613.2 for the month. It was moved and carried that the number of children to be admitted to the Oneiunga District High School shall not lie more than can be conveniently seated in the room set apart for the High School division, and that in ail eases Onehunga District School children have the preference; that children living outside the Onehucpa (school district be admitted only when spare room is available: that the headmaster be notified to discontinue teaching in the corridors. In the event of the number at present exceeding the nnmber whicii can be accommodated in the room set apart, all children outside of the Onehtragra school district enlisted since Noreinber 30, 1904. be notified that, there not being sufficient .room, they cannot be admitted, and that the chairman and the headmaster carry out the resolution in a reasonable manner.
