(By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) CAMBRIDGE, this day. Mr Wells, the Mayor, has received the following from Mr Waterfield, private secretary to the Governor: "I am directed by the Governor to convey to you His Excellency's best thanks for all the trouble you took to ensure the arrangements in connection with his recent short visit to Cambridge being satisfactory. His Excellency regrets that his early arrival should have caused inconvenience, but sires nle to express his appreciation. of all you did, and to inform you how much he. enjoyed visiting Cambridge,, and having an opportunity of seeing something of the neighbourhood."
