COROMANDEL COUNTY COUNCIL

The monthly meeting of the Coromandel County Council was held on Monday, when it was decided to ask the Minister to appoint Thursday as the day for the halfholiday throughout the county. The sum of £13 3/ was forwarded by Mr F. Jeune, who had collected the amount in aid of the Buffalo Domain Board. Applications for grants of £200 and £100 are to T»e made to the Roads Department for repairs to the Kuaotunu-to-Opito Road, and the completion of the Mercury Bay Wharf respectively. Accounts to the amount of £179 10/3 were passed for payment.
