Comfort and Mangamahakr~*went once round the steeplechase course at Ellerslie yesterday, both Jumping well. There was no work of Importance at Ellerslie this morning, though Hutana jumped- some of the fences and the main water jump, going at a steady pace. A rumour was in circulation yesterday that Haydn would _ot start for the Gieat Northern Steeplechase, but nevertheless he still retains his place as favourite for that event '■>•;• -*•■' _f " AUCKLAND RACING CLUB.
