SERIOUS ASSAULT CASE.
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, this day. Last evening James Armstrong! cook on a station near Methven, whilst in company with three men, is alleged to have been enticed into a right-of-way and robbed of £30 15/ and a revolver. On endeavouring to ei.ll out Armstrong was nearly choked insensible. To-day detectives arrested a man who is charged with being implicated in the assault.
