COROMANDEL COUNTY COUNCIL.

The Coromandel County Council met on Monday, Mr Bwindley presiding. A communication was received from the Mines Department agreeing to £40 of the Whitl-snga-Gumtown .road grant being spent on metalling the Gumtown-Kalmarama road, two men to, bo .employed for one week repairing the Oteo Bridge and Gumtown road. Grants for Coromandel, Kuaothnu. Opltonul, nnd Mahakaral goldflelds-' roads were authorised to he spent on wages without approval of specifications. Slaughtering licenses were granted to George Hedge and George Lindsay. The chairman was authorised to arrange for the erection of a wire bridge at Opltonul. It was decided that Canbare Be- inland road be closed for traffic, and the grant diverted to the Port Jackson road.
