The trustees were-Instructed to report on the matter of improving, the parsonage,-or rebuilding in a,"more'central position. The trustees' annual-balance showed a credit'balance of -£14. ; ' WHANGAREI' ACCLIMATISATION ;'' SOCIETY,. The Whangarei Acclimatisation Society held its annual meeting, on Saturday evening, there being a.large.attendance. ..Mr -_, Seccombe presided.. The annual leport'and balance sheet showed the finances to be in a .satisfactory ■""state. The proposal to' observe a close season within the" district for- imported -game was warmly debated, several members strongly protesting against the proposal. V "
