MR, BRABANT'S TRANSFER. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) WELLINGTON, this day. The Minister for Justice has decided that he is unable to comply with the request made by a deputation of lawyers in Auckland for retention; of Mr. Brabant as S.M. in that district, and that Mr. Brabant's removal lo Wanganui must be carried out. District Judge Kettle is to be transferred to Auckland. Sittings of the District Court are tobe established at Thames and Hamilton. The transfers of Magistrates Kettle and Brabant will take effect immediately. The Minister states that no selection has yet been made of the S.M. required to replace Judge Robinson irtired). Additions to the Commission of the Peace are to be gazetted this week.
