YORKSHIRE SOCIETY'S ANNUAL PICNIC.

Favoured with glorious weather about 200 Yorkshire people journeyed to Mangere on Anniversary Day, its guests of Mr. J. E. Taylor (president of the Yorkshire Society). The day was spent most pleasantly. Mr. Taylor having thrown open his house and grounds for the use of the visitors. After participating in vigorous sports and games the party was treated to a first-class concert. The performers included the society's orchestra. Misses Annie Taylor, Jane Smith, and Kate Collard, Messrs. C. Taylor, Karl Atkinson and Valentine Atkinson. The accompaniments were played by Mr. J. H. Phillpot. with his usual brilliance and musicianly taste. The arrangements for the amusement and comfort of all were ably carried out by the president the hon. sec. (Mr. J. West), Messrs. R Walton, R. R, Brown, B. Midgley. and Karl Atkinson.
