VOLUNTEER NEWS.
Members of the No. 2 Natives competed til Mt. Eden, ou Saturday for the N.Z. clothing Factory's marble clock. The competitors fired 7 shots lying and sitting at Tin yards, magazine firing. 4oser limit. The results were as follows: Vol. Waters (handicap 2i 52, Sergt. Phillips (scr) 50, Vol. Boyd (II) 50, L.-Corp. MeKenzie (4) 50, Sergt. Stead ((scr) 40, Sergt. Fricker (11 43, Vol. Widdowson (5) 48. Vol. Watson (2) 4T, Vol. Tvne (4) 44. Vol. F. Hankln (5) 43, Corp. Scott (0) 42. Vol. Noble (5) 41. The Piako Mounted Rifles on Saturday competed for the Knock Belt and McLennau medal, which were permanently won by Sergt. Salmon and Trooper W. Hughes respectlvelv. The scores were as follows:— Knox Belt: Sergt. Salmon (52. Tr. S. Mlkkelsen 50, Q.M. -Sergt. Salmon 56, Core Tn-ttersall 55. Tr. W. Hughes 52. Sergt. Rowe PL McT.ennnn Medal: Tr. W. Hughes 54, Tr. S. Mlkkclsen 54. Corp. Tnttersall 47, Sergt. Salmon 52, -Q.M. Salmon 42.
