MANUKAU METHODIST CHURCH
The Manuk.au Methodist Circuit held its quart!" Iv meeting on Wednesday afternoon ,-n Ma .ore. the Rev. W. Slade presi ling. The chairman reported live circuit membership at 180, with 12 jun'ors and 50 communicants. It was agreed to commence a fund for building a new pnrsonage at Onehunga. and that meetings lie held throughout the circuit next month to promote the scheme. It was resolved to apply to the Home Mission Committee for the services of a young man to engage in church mission work. Appointments were made ns follow:-- Circuit stewards. Messrs ft. D. Smith and G. 11. Douglass (re-appointed); conference representative. Mr G. D. Smith, with Mr 'I. 11. Douglass us substitute; soeietv stewards.' Messrs 11. Farnswurth (East Tamaki) and F. Evans (Papakurs>; reporter to "Outlook." Mr E. C. Som.erville; auditors. Messrs 11. .1. Davies and G. H. Fleming A hearty vote of thanks was accorded "to the Revs. W. J. Watkin, J. H. Simmonds. and J. S. Rishworth, aud to th* local preachers for their services during the past year.
