The directors of the Harbour View Gold Mining Company, Coromandel, have completed negotiations for the purchase of the Hauraki Mines, Limited, claim and plant. This is virtually the old Pride of Tokatea property and the Oriana claim. The ground adjoins that of the Harbour View Gold Mining Company, and gives an additional area of SO acres, together with a ten-stamp battery, two-stamp specimen mill, berdans, etc. By continuing the present low level in the Harbour View mine the reef worked so successfully by the Pride of Tokatea' Company should be met with at a considerably greater depth. A meeting of shareholders in the Harbour View mine has been called, for Tuesday. October 6th, for the purpose of confirming the action of the directors.
