HORSE EATS TEN HATS.

M. Ber, a hatter of the Bou'evard de Belleville, Paris, was justly proud of the fine show of Panama hats which adorned his premises. His horror may be imagined when! on returning to the shop one afternoon several weeks back, aft?r a short absence, he saw a horse busily devouring his creations in straw. Ten Panamas hai already disapppeared down its throat.

The horse, which had prob_bly been starved and had escaped from a neighbouring stable, was sent to the pouud.
