His Excellency the Governor is expected to arrive in. Auckland to-morrow morning. He to-day left Napier, where he has been spending a' few "dnys, to catch the Ngapuhi at New Plymouth to-night, and he should therefore be in Auckland to-morrow morning. ■■"-■'

It is His Excellency's intention to drive direct from the steamer to the site of the Veterans' Home, where h.e will inspect the progress made. In the afternoon he will meet all the committees which have been formed to work up the details of the Veterans' Home bazaar at Government House. The work in connection with this big bazaar is well forward, and His Excellency desires to see and hear from the members of committees what has beeij done. Hβ will lend them what assistance he can and help the movement in every reasonable way that may be suggested. _ The hour fixed for the meeting, according to the notice sent out, is half-past three o'clock. Lord Ranfurly will open the officers club room at the Drill Hall, and take part in the ceremony and entertainment associated with that event. ;'
