A CHILD STRANGLED.

DUNEDIN, Tuesday

At an inquest on the body of a child found dead in a right-of-way off Highstreet on Monday, the medical evidence was to the effect that the child had been born alive, and had breathed, and that a mark round the neck was the result of pressure before death, showing that' the child had been strangled. The jury returned a verdict that death was caused by strangulation by some person or persons iinknown.
