ROBBERY WITH VIOLENCE.
CHRISTCHURCH, Sunday.
An elderly man named Love Guinness was attacked last itijght in a right-of-way near the Wellington Hotel by three men. The victim was garrotted and robbed of £2. Detectives Herbert and Ward witnessed the occurrence and arrested , tw*o men. A, third escaped last night, but was captured this morning. Guinness was badly handled, but not seriously hurt.
