Most of Auckland's fleet went away • on an Easter cruise on Thursday evening Their destination was Coromandel, where • they were*to take part'in the annual regatta proceeding there to-day. After the meeting a, portion of the yachts, will probably go down to Tekooma, and a number of th& others over Kawau way. AH the boats will return to Auckland on Monday evening. The shapely two and a half rater Yum Yum has been purchased by Messrs Bailey and Lowe. On Wednesday Messrs Bailey and Lowe launched a 19ft" oil launch of 3 h.p. for Mr A. Tempest, of ParneD. The firm have also on the stocks a 30ft oil launch to the order of Messrs W. A; - Ryan and Co. for use at Kawhia, and a 29ft vessel, which will be fitted with a Henderson engine, for Mr W. H. Henderson, of Kaipara. ..'. The N.S-Y.C. hold their final cruise of the season to Rakino on the 18th.
In the record of places under , the flag of the Royal Sydney Yacht Squadron for the season the Logan-built boat Petrel heads the list with three firsts, two seconds, and three* thirds to her credit, £41; Cjjlwulla comes next with one first, three seconds, and two thirds, £24. The Fife-designed Scotia scored two firsts, £ 20; Heather, another Logan-built yacht, one first, two seconds and one third, £19; Fleetwing, one first and one third, £11"; Electra, one first, £10; Sunbeam, one second, £4; and Ku-Kuburra, one third, £1. In_ addition to these prizes Petfrel was successful in the competition for tte Squadron Challenge and Gascoigne Cups, Electra the Carleton Cup, Culwulla the Beauchamp Cup, and Heather the Rawson Chip.
