AUCKLAND ROWING CLUB.
The above club held its _ _th trial fours of the season for trophies presented by Mr H. Schmitt on Saturday afternoon. The weather was delightfully fine, and some good racing resulted. The. first heat waa between crews stroked by McKnight and Brown, and the former won his race in good style. The Becond heat brought out crews stroked by Lovott, Neville, and Davies. Lovett's crew led all the way, and appeared to be winning, when they got into the "ferry wash," and Neville's crew coming strongly won by 2ft. Anderson's crew won the third after a good go with the other two crews. The final. was a grand race; all three crews ', rot away together, and kept clinging to each other right up to the winning post, when McKnight's crew made an extia effort, beating Neville, who was second, __d Ander* son's crew third, not a length separating the three crews. The winners were H. McKnight, A. Clark, L. Clark, and Adams.
