NORTH SHORE YACHT CLUB.
The final general flan^cap iace iv connection with North Shore facht Club was sailed on Saturday afternoon for a silver cup presented by Mr M. A. Jenny. Trophies were also presented by Messrs R. and R. Duder, W. Oliver, and J. F. O'Neill for the second, third, and fourth boats. The couise was as usual, twice round, and the race was started off the Victoria Wharf at a quarter to three, a fresh southerly breeze blowing. Janet was first away, closely followed by Matua, Ladye Wilma, Volunteer, and Ida. Volunteer soon assumed the lead, Ida being second. On the lead to the Queen street Wharf Volunteer raced away from the other boats, and completed the first round fully five minutes ahead of the Ida, the second boat. Couleen and Asta fouled, and had to retire. On the second round Volunteer drew further away, the tini.sh being: Volunteer, 4h 57m 475; Ida, 5h 5m 2s; Ladye Wilma, 5h 9m 445; Wairere, 5h 12m 435; Matua, 5b 15m 435; Janet, 5h 17m; Tuna, 5h 28m 50e. Rewi went to the rescue of a swamped gig and gave up. On time allowance Wairere is first, Matua second, Tuna third, Janet fourth, Ladye Wilma fifth, Volunteer sixth, and Ida seventh.
