LORD HAWKE'S TEAM

The secretary of t the Hamilton Cricket Association has been notified that Lord Hawke's team will play a two days' match nt Hamilton for £100. It has been decided to reply accepting a one day's match for £50. \
To-day Mr W. J. Napier received the following telegram from the Premier in reference to the Island fruit controversy: —"Mr Ritchie has been directed by the Minister "of Agriculture to proceed to Auckland to look into the matter of the, destruction of fruit complained of by you in your telegram.—R. J. Seddon."'
